BIG AL allosaur

The first time I learned more about dinosaurs was when I was still a kid. Back then, there was a documentary about prehistoric life being aired on television. I didn’t really understand much of it at the time, but as I grew older, I eventually realized that it was Walking with Dinosaurs.

I still watch it to this day, even though, of course, the graphics don’t look nearly as impressive as they did when we were kids.

And my absolute favorite has always been Big Al—a juvenile Allosaurus discovered in Wyoming, USA, in 1991, and later featured in the two-part special episode The Ballad of Big Al.

Even today, the portrayal of Big Al has never really left my memory. There have been many scientific updates and reconstructions of what Allosaurus looked like over the years, but the image of Big Al will always be the one I remember most.
