A natural history–inspired illustration of Prionosuchus, one of the largest amphibians to ever exist, reimagined in a semi-realistic bestiary style.

This piece explores the creature in its river habitat, emphasizing its elongated gharial-like snout, powerful swimming body, and ambush predation behavior. The composition combines a full-color environmental scene with supporting anatomical sketches and notes, reflecting a scientific dossier approach.

My goal was to balance realism and artistic interpretation, presenting Prionosuchus as both a believable prehistoric animal and a visually engaging subject for worldbuilding and creature design.
